Each individual moving company is allowed to set their own rules and policies concerning the acceptance of credit cards and other terms of payment. Terms of payment must be disclosed to each customer in writing. Moving companies can set policies accepting credit cards for the entire move or just the deposit. When comparing the services of moving companies a customer should also compare the forms of payment policies before making a selection of a mover.
